W. Bauer: |
Graduated as a geologist from the University of Erlangen and obtained a PhD in Geology at the Wuerzburg University. Worked several years in the exploration of thermal water and minerals. Since 1997 has held different positions as a consultant for geothermal exploration. Joined 360plus Consult as managing partner in 2008. |
R. Bertani: |
Graduated in physics at the University of Pisa. Started working at ENEL Geothermal Department in 1992, at the office of Reservoir Engineering, with responsibility in developing a technical database for geothermal activity and for 3-D reservoir simulation and modeling of geothermal projects in Italy and abroad. Presently acts as Manager of Geothermal Business Development at Enel Green Power. Vice-President of the International Geothermal Association. Active member of an European Project for the application of new integrated geophysical techniques for the identification of deep targets and reservoir modeling development (I-GET), member of the European Hot Dry Rock Advisory Panel (EHDRA), and member of the Consulting Panel of Experts for Geothermal Energy in the 6th Framework Program of the EC. |
P. Dumas: |
European Geothermal Energy Council Delegate in Brussels since 2002, in charge of daily management, project management and political affairs. Also, external professor at the University of Montpellier and the University of Aix-Marseille (France) in Project Management, European Affairs, European Lobbying, since 2004. Previously, between 2000 and 2008, served as a director of the Brussels’ office of a French engineering company (Gaudriot/S&A). |
PA. Genter: |
Obtained a PhD in Geology at the University of Orleans. Presently holds the position of Scientific Coordinator of the EGS Soultz project, in France. As part of this position, organizes the scientific tasks such as research, reporting, conference, and teaching, and presents the main results to a large audience. Has been working for 23 years at the French Geological Survey, BRGM Orléans. He worked as a senior geologist or as a R&D project manager in different Geoscience fields (geothermal energy, nuclear waste disposal, coastal cliff erosion). |
R.Hidalgo: |
Manager of Petratherm in Spain. Holds twenty years experience in the Spanish mining and resources sector as a consulting geologist. |
T.Kölbel: |
Graduated from the University of Karlsruhe with a major in Geology and Hydrogeology. Has since worked at different consulting firms. Since 1996, he is appointed in executive position and engages primarily in the field of geothermics. In 2003, took charge of the geothermal energy department of an international drilling enterprise. Since 2005, works in the Research & Innovation Department of EnBW Energy Baden-Wuerttemberg AG and assumes full responsibility for geothermal electricity and heat generation projects. Also a board member of Wirtschaftsforum TiefeGeothermie e.V and managing director of the geothermal power plant in Soultz, France. |
L. Neves: |
Obtained a PhD in Geology at the University of Coimbra where he is Full Professor at the Dept. Earth Sciences. His research focuses on natural radioactivity and thermal potential of rocks, having published several papers. Vice-president of the Scientific Board of the Faculty of Science of Technology of the University of Coimbra as well as of Portuguese Health Physics Society. Researcher in charge of the Beiras geothermal project, developed by Geovita. |
R. Silva: |
Graduated as a geologist at the University of Coimbra and obtained a MSc at the University of Porto, specializing in gas and oil exploration. Has worked in geotechnical issues; in the recovery in buildings affected by the 1996 earthquake in Pico island (Azores), and the opening of tunnels for the Porto underground. Also worked as mudlogger and data engineer for oil companies in Libya and Angola. Presently works for Gesto, concessionary of three geothermal permits in the Lusitanic Basin of Portugal. |
